NESSP seeks to provide educators with the necessary tools and resources to inspire and motivate underserved students, even in challenging learning environments. NESSP provides educators with engaging hands-on lesson plans, supplies, professional development opportunities, and summer stipends.

Companion Course

NESSP’s companion course program offers lessons for educators to integrate concepts from our ROADS challenges into their classroom plans. Lessons support Next Generation Science Standards and are aligned with NASA missions.

Educational Supplies Loan Program

NESSP can loan supplies to educators participating in NESSP programs in rural and underserved districts and communities.  To receive supplies please check out the next NESSP National Challenge or Mini-Mission.

Citizen Science Program for Libraries

The Montana Learning Center has developed a citizen science program to partner with libraries across Montana that is available anytime! Participants collect data about light pollution and provide information to the international database.

Co-Designed Culturally Responsive ROADS Curriculum (CRRC) at Northern Arizona University:

CRRC approaches the ROADS challenge from an Indigenous way of knowing and paves the way for more Indigenous students to participate in robotics challenges.
