Our records indicate that your authorized official has not signed your ROADS from Earth to Venus contract. Therefore, you cannot sign up for challenge teams or request supply loans. You may be waiting for NESSP to send out your contract. Please see the “Mission Status” tab on your ROADS educator account page to review your contract status.
If you feel this information is incorrect, email us at info@nwessp.org. It may take NESSP up to a week to update your contract status.
Instructions:
This form is for registered ROADS Challenge Teams only. Each team should consist of 3 to 6 students in grades 3 through 12 who intend to complete the Mission Objectives outlined in the ROADS Challenge Manual, document their progress in a Mission Development Log (MDL), and submit their results to NESSP for recognition. Please refer to the challenge website and FAQ for more details. Do not complete this form if you only plan to use the Companion Course lessons in the classroom without participating in the Challenge.
You may register up to 10 teams with this form. Please enter the TOTAL number of teams you plan to mentor for the ROADS Challenge. This number can be adjusted later if needed. Most Mission Advisors mentor only one team.
After submission, you will receive an email with a single Mission Advisor ID number (e.g., 0031). If you have multiple teams, they will be distinguished by adding 0031a, 0031b, etc. NESSP will append your state abbreviation to the beginning of this number for our records (e.g., WA0031b). Team numbers will be updated on the ‘Mission and Team Status’ tab of your ROADS Educator profile page within a few weeks of submission.
Please avoid submitting this form multiple times. If you need to update your original submission, email info@nwessp.org.

Supply limit:
Mission advisors can request no more than three LEGO Spike robots. If additional supplies are needed, please contact NESSP at info@nwessp.org.
Team Member Sign up:
Mission Advisors must submit information for Challenge Team names and all team members at Checkpoint 1 between Jan 30 – Feb 13, 2026.
NESSP is funded through a federal grant from NASA’s Science Activation Program. Materials provided for ROADS Challenge Teams are loans that must be used by educators with K-12 students participating in NESSP activities, including the ROADS National Challenge, ROADS Companion Course, or the summer Mini-Missions.
Educators who request a supply loan for a student Challenge Team but choose not to or cannot engage students in one of these programs, must return the non-consumable supplies loaned to them. This ensures that these supplies can be provided to educators participating in NESSP programs.
Furthermore, educators who have previously received and still possess loaned materials should refrain from requesting additional duplicate materials (e.g., an extra robot). We are not able to honor requests for duplicate supplies.
