Summer Experiences

NESSP partners, including CWU, the Museum of Flight, OMSI, Montana Learning Center, and the Pacific Science Center, offer summer enrichment opportunities for students throughout Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Programs are free, low-cost, or offer scholarships to qualifying students.

Washington Aerospace Scholar at the Museum of Flight

WASHINGTON AEROSPACE SCHOLARS (WAS) is an online distance learning course and summer experience specifically designed for high school juniors interested in pursuing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career pathways through the exploration of space and space travel. Students that successfully complete the online curriculum can earn five units of college credit from the University of Washington, and are invited to a multi-day Summer Residency at The Museum of Flight. During the Summer Residency, students have the opportunity to tour local aerospace organizations and work with STEM professionals, NASA scientists, and university students to plan a human mission to space.
