NASA Science Activation Educator Meeting Registration
Thank you for your interest in participating in the NASA Science Activation Cross-Project Educator Meeting in Boise, Idaho. This in-person working meeting will bring together educators, Science Activation project leaders, and evaluators to reflect on how NASA Science Activation resources and programs support K–12 teaching and learning. Your experiences and feedback will help inform future resource development, educator engagement, and evaluation efforts across NASA Science Activation projects.
The meeting will take place August 12–14, 2026 at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. Participants should plan to arrive the evening of Tuesday, August 11 and depart the afternoon of Friday, August 14, unless flight schedules make it necessary to leave slightly earlier.
Initial Schedule
- Tuesday, August 11: Travel to Boise and check in to the hotel. Dinner on your own (reimbursable).
- Wednesday, August 12: Full-day meeting, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Breakfast at the hotel, catered lunch, and group dinner on the town.
- Thursday, August 13: Full-day meeting, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Breakfast at the hotel, catered lunch, and group dinner on the town.
- Friday, August 14: Half-day meeting, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Breakfast at the hotel. Lunch and dinner on your own.
A more detailed agenda will be shared with confirmed participants before the meeting.
Hotel Information
We have reserved a room block at the Residence Inn by Marriott Boise Downtown/University, located at 1401 South Lusk Place, Boise, ID. The hotel includes complimentary breakfast, is conveniently located across the street from Boise State University, and is approximately 2.7 miles from Boise Airport (BOI). The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle upon request for airport and local travel. Meeting organizers are also available to assist with airport pick-ups, drop-offs, and local travel. The on-site parking fee will be waived for our group.

Room rate: $191/night
Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations and purchasing their own flights. Eligible travel costs will be reimbursed after the meeting. Although the room block opens on August 10, we can only reimburse educator participants for the nights of August 11, 12, and 13 — three nights total.
Travel Reimbursement and Stipend
Educator participants will receive travel support for approved meeting-related expenses, including airfare or mileage, hotel, ground transportation, and eligible meals not already provided during the meeting, up to the approved travel limit of $2,000. Participants will need to pay for travel costs up front and submit reimbursement documentation after the meeting. Please keep itemized receipts for reimbursable expenses.
Educator participants will also receive a $500 stipend in recognition of their time and contributions to the meeting. Additional paperwork, including tax or payment forms, will be required before reimbursement and stipend payments can be processed. We are required to collect a W-9 form so CWU can report the stipend to the IRS. The stipend may count as taxable income, depending on the total amount of stipend income you receive from NESSP/CWU in 2026.
Please make sure your W-9 form is complete, including your current address, Social Security number or tax identification number, and a wet signature before uploading it.

Things to Do in Boise
Participants who have extra time before or after the meeting may want to explore Boise. Nearby options include downtown Boise, the Boise River Greenbelt, local museums, parks, restaurants, and other attractions.
Media and Meeting Documentation
During the meeting, we may take photographs, record portions of group discussions, or use participant quotes to document the impact of NASA Science Activation on K–12 education. These materials may be used in a project report, publication, presentation, or NASA Science Activation highlight. The registration form will ask you to upload the NASA media release form linked below to confirm that you are comfortable with images and video from the meeting being used in these materials.
