Artemis III – Lesson 8: Reflecting on and Presenting Your Mission

Lesson Summary

In this lesson: Students will begin by reflecting on their individual contributions to the mission before performing a thorough review of their Science and Engineering Notebooks, MDLs, and the Mission Objectives.  This will allow them to finalize their MDL and prepare a tri-fold board on the MO of their choice.  To close out the mission, teams will self-assess their MDLs based on a rubric and submit their final product.

Students will begin the lesson by reflecting on their individual contributions to the overall mission and their most important learning moments.

Students will work as a team to review their Science and Engineering Notebooks, MDL draft, and Mission Objective Guidance, and make any necessary updates to their MDLs.

Students will choose an area of the challenge where they feel they excelled and prepare a tri-fold board highlighting their best work.

Evaluate

Students will evaluate their own work and the work of their peers based on the mission review rubric, then make any necessary final changes and submit their final project.

Extend

Option 1: Students will participate in a local science or engineering fair or present their work to other local audiences.

Option 2: Students will explore NASA careers related to the work of this lesson.
