Artemis III – Lesson 7: Envisioning Your Role
Lesson Summary
Video coming 9/20!In this lesson: Students will review summaries of real NASA related job descriptions and match them to ROADS Mission Objectives and correct job titles. Next, they will select a career of interest to explore further. They will use their research to create a graphic novel page that shows the future of them working at their dream job at NASA or they will plan and create a video interview role playing their future selves working at NASA. Next, students will identify a community need and map the strengths within the community that could address the need relocating how the strengths relate to those relevant to NASA careers.

Lesson Level Question: How can careers important to successful NASA missions impact our lives here on Earth?
Engage
Students will review summaries of NASA related job descriptions and match them to ROADS Mission Objectives and correct job titles.
Explore
Students will review Career Connections from Mission Objectives and the supplemental list to select a career of interest to explore further.
Explain
Students will create a graphic novel page or pages that show the future of them working at their dream job at NASA. If working in teams, create two or more pages that show the different student roles working together.
Elaborate
Students will identify a community need and map the strengths within the community that could address the need. How do the strengths relate to those relevant to NASA careers?
Evaluate
Students will document their work and learning for this lesson by meeting the deliverables outlined in MO-7.
Extend
Students will plan and create a Video Interview role playing their future selves working at NASA.
