ROADS from Earth to Venus (2025-2026)
ROADS from Earth to Venus Student Challenge

Application deadline: January 14th, 2026
For the 2025-2026 Challenge, NESSP has developed eight Mission Objectives (MO) inspired by NASA’s missions that study the Earth and its sister planet Venus! Registered Challenge teams document their progress by completing the MOs in a Mission Development Log (MDL) and submit their materials to NESSP for team recognition.*
The ROADS From Earth to Venus is an excellent team activity suitable for in-class group projects, school robotics, programming, other club activities, Scout troops, and other community organizations.
*This year, the application is limited to educators in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington. Priority will be given to educators who have served as a Mission Advisor for a ROADS Challenge team within the past three years (Artemis ROADS I, II, or III) or who have completed the 2025 ROADS From Earth to Venus Professional Development.

Educators apply to be a Mission Advisor using the link below and verify or update your personal and organizational information. Deadline: Jan 14, 2026.
NESSP sends the ROADS from Earth to Venus Standard Agreement to the organization’s Authorized Official Representative (AOR) to be signed through email.
The AOR signs the agreement, provides proof of insurance, and confirms that the Mission Advisor has a current background check. Deadline: Jan 21, 2026.
ROADS Educators login to their account to register challenge teams and request supplies. Deadline: Jan 26, 2026.
Mission Advisors start working on the challenge with their student teams! All submissions are made through the ROADS Educator account page, which can be accessed using the login below. This is also where Mission Advisors can check their “Mission Status.”
