August 1, 2024 – Registration Open for Artemis ROADS III Professional Development 🗓
Hello Educators!
We are excited to announce that registration is now open for Artemis ROADS III Online Professional Development!
Who is this for?
Northwest Earth and Space Science Pathways (NESSP) ROADS Professional Development is designed for formal and informal educators interested in learning about hands-on, standards-aligned, NASA-inspired lessons and activities. In particular, we will train educators on the use of the ROADS Companion Course, developed to support NESSP’s annual ROADS National Challenge. Next year’s challenge will focus on the Artemis III mission. To learn more about past challenges and companion course lessons, please visit https://nwessp.org/programs/student-challenges/. Newbies and experienced ROADS educators are welcome!
What is the structure, time commitment, and support?
We have designed this PD to be flexible! Artemis ROADS II Professional Development will consist of three 2-hour live sessions. The times for each session are listed in the table below. Participants can select times that work best for them but must complete Sessions 1, 2, and 3 in order. The PD also includes virtual asynchronous work through a Canvas course that must be completed before, in between, and after each session. Educators who complete all aspects of the course will earn an estimated 15 clock hours. Stipends and supplies are available.
All times are Pacific Standard Time!
How do I register?

After you register, you will receive an email with a link to the Canvas course, which will launch on August 9th, 2024. We will share all the Zoom links Live Sessions above exclusively through the Canvas course, so please sign in as soon as you receive your invitation.
We encourage you to share this information with your colleagues and peers who might also be interested! We have attached a flier to distribute.
