Summer Opportunity for Educators

Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pipeline is recruiting teachers and assistant teachers (educator pairs) for NASA-funded STEM camps aimed at middle to high school and college levels in rural areas and tribal communities. The project spans Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Each educator pair consist of a certified lead teacher certified with STEM teaching experience and an assistant teacher with strong community commitments and local knowledge.

The teacher will receive a $1,500 stipend and the assistant teacher will receive $1,000 for leading a four-day camp with between 20-40 students. Each pair will also receive travel funding to attend a spring training workshop on camp curriculum and subject matter.

The 2017 NESSP summer camps will take place at rural/tribal areas in the Pacific Northwest. Applications including a short resume and two references are due Jan 23, 2017. For complete details, see the 2017 NESSP recruitment flyer for teachers
